Obituary

Elma "Jean" (Perry) Cimino, 92, of Easton, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Country Meadows in Bethlehem where she had been a resident for the past 8 years.

Born in Springfield, TN, on December 11, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Grover and Annie (Redman) Perry. She graduated from Eau Gallie High School in Florida. Jean worked for the family business, John Cimino Moving and Storage, with her husband for over 25 years.

She was a member of St. Anthony's of Padua Catholic Church and the ladies' auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus. Jean liked to play pinochle and traveling to Florida in her spare time. She was a great cook and her family always looked forward to Sunday spaghetti dinners at her home. Her greatest enjoyment in life was her family especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: John Cimino and wife Maryann, Bethlehem; Melina Nye and husband Jean, Bethlehem; Laura Miller, Bethlehem; Mary DeVito and husband Anthony, Nazareth; grandchildren, Jean Nye, Jr., Christina (Cimino) Gardner and husband, Dennis, Stephanie DeVito, Jessica DeVito, Gina Cimino; and great grandchildren, Jacob Nye and Brendan Nye.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Lawrence Cimino; a son in law, Thomas Miller; and a sister, Louise Stone.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 2, 2022 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Morello Funeral Home, Inc. 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton (Palmer Twp.). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Jean's name to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 900 Washington St. Easton, PA 18042.
