Elvera C. Timmins, 88, of Easton, PA, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2018 in Old Orchard Manor Care surrounded by her family.
Elvera was born in Voorheesville, NY, a daughter of the late Frank and Rose (Lentle) Zappavigna.
Elvera was a secretary for Ingersoll Rand until retiring in 1988. She was a graduate of Wilson High School, class of 1947. Elvera enjoyed being a leader for the Girl Scouts Daisy group, loved to go dancing, reading; watching Philadelphia sports on ESPN and political news on CNN. She was an avid writer of letters to the editor of the Express Times, and she was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
Elvera is survived by her daughters Rose Ann Freed of Easton, Patricia Decheine and husband Stephen of Easton, Christina Albright and husband Stephen of Philipsburg, NJ, Kim Williams and husband Greg of Easton; a sister Agnes "Connie" Cote of Fall River, WI; grandchildren Alison, Chase, Brittany, Riley; and twelve nieces and nephews.
A calling hour will be held on Saturday from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp), followed by a Funeral Service on Saturday at 12:00 pm in the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Williams Twp. immediately after the service.
