Emile "Aoutele" Elias, 73, of Easton, PA passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024, at St. Lukes Hospital, Fountain Hill, PA. Born on June 15, 1950 in Kfarsghab, Lebanon, he was the son of the late Fahim and Jeanette (Nehme) Elias.
He received his education at a teaching academy in Lebanon and worked as a reading, writing, and language teacher in the secondary educational system of Lebanon. Aoutele was formerly employed by the Easton Area School District. He also worked in real estate owning many properties throughout the Easton area.
Aoutele was a member of Our Lady of Lebanon Church in Easton, PA and the Kfarsghab Club.
Aoutele was an ambassador of the Lebanese community, attending demonstrations, and political and religious events all across the east coast. He enjoyed fine dining and was very generous to all, frequently picking up the tab of his guests and diners in an eatery. Aoutele's staple spots were Terra Café in downtown Easton, where he could be found outside enjoying a cup of coffee, and Sicily Pizza in Forks, where he'd enjoy the staff's company and food. To satisfy his sweet tooth, he liked to visit Daisy's on Sullivan Trail. Aoutele cherished spending time with his friends and family, eating, celebrating, laughing, and even going on adventures. He loved unconditionally and was committed to his family, friends, and church. He was a legend, sharing stories and memories from his past in endeavors for the future. Any time spent with Aoutele was amazing and memorable. He possessed a great sense of style and fashion, to match his great sense of humor. He enjoyed laughing, smiling, and all the finer things in life. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and make time for everyone and for anything. Aoutele's presence and influence extended beyond his family and reverberated across the entire city of Easton.
He is survived by his sisters; Marlene Rizk of Sydney, Australia; Madelaine Saad of Kfarsghab, Lebanon; Amal and husband Michel Moussa of Sydney, Australia; brothers Antoine and his wife, Deebie Elias of Forks Twp, PA; Marcellino (Charbel) Elias of Kfarsghab, Lebanon and Easton, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Aoutele was preceded in death by a sister Huguette Moussa; and a brother Michel Mitch Daniel, who happened to pass away on this exact date in 2010.
Calling hours will be held Monday, March 18, 2024 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm with The Prayer of Incense at 7:30 pm in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.). An additional calling hour will take place on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 from 9:15 am until 10:15 am at Our Lady of Lebanon Church, 4th & Ferry Streets, Easton, PA. A Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:30 am. Interment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery in Palmer Twp., PA. Memorial contributions may be made in Aoutele's name to the charity of your choice.
