Due to COVID concerns, Ernest DePaul Jr.'s memorial service at Calvary Baptist Church, 5300 Green Pond Rd Easton, PA 18045, has been changed to April 9, 2022. Visitation hours will be 9:30am to 11:00am with services following.

Ernest DePaul, Jr. passed away at the age of 68 on Tuesday, January 4 ^th , 2022 due to COVID-19 complications surrounded by loved ones.

He is survived by his wife, Maryann (Feeley), who celebrated 47 years of loving marriage together this past September. They enjoyed a shared birthday. His son Justin, along with his wife Jessica, revered his father as a role model of strength, patience, and kindness. His daughter Megan fondly remembers him for his unconditional love, support, and guidance. Survived also by his twin grandchildren, William and Lucas, he will always be known as Pappy, the grandfather who was always able to make them laugh with his playful nature and comforting tone.

Ernie is predeceased by his mother Theresa "Tess" DePaul. He is survived by his father, Ernest DePaul Sr., his brother David and his wife Sarah (Cloutier); sister Lorraine and her husband, Mark Serencsits.  Ernie shared a deep bond with his father, siblings, and their families and will be dearly missed by them.

Ernie worked from the age of 15 to his retirement in 2020 in the grocery/retail industry for stores such as Food Lane, Laneco, and Giant. Throughout his years in retail, he was known for his organizational skills and his customer service and was involved in creating some of the technology used today in Giant and Stop-n-Shop stores.

He was an active and faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, music and was a loyal Pittsburgh Steelers fan. His greatest joy was his family.

A memorial service is scheduled for April 9, 2022 at Calvary Baptist Church, 5300 Green Pond Rd, Easton, PA 18045. Visitation hours will be 9:30 am to 11:00 am with services following. Interment will follow at Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The National Kidney Foundation or locally to Allentown Rescue Mission in his honor.
