Esther Yezilski formerly of Palmer Township, PA, currently residing at The Heritage Assisted Living in St. Mary's, WV, peacefully passed away on March 31, 2025 in Camden Clark hospital, Parkersburg, WV at the age of 103.
Esther was born September 19, 1921 in Luzerne, PA, a daughter of the late Joseph Baluta and Eva Dembosky Baluta. She had two sisters, Mildred Nestor and Lucille Perigino.
Survived by two daughters, Rebecca (Robert) Ormesher of Bethlehem, PA and Theodora (Victor) Wade of Paden City, WV; three grandchildren, Mark (Brenda) Ormesher of Eugene, OR, Joseph (Sandy) Ternyik of The Woodlands, TX and Samantha Gonda of Ligonier, PA; five great grandchildren, Michael and Hailey Ormesher, Emma Jo Ternyik, Jared Bloom and Gabriel (Lexie) Gonda.
She was the wife of the late John Yezilski who passed away in 2005. She worked at Strongwear Pants in Easton, PA and was a nurse's aide at Leader Nursing Home in Palmer Township, PA. She was a WAC in World War II and served in Florida where she was a nurse's aide. Her favorite story of that time in her life was her experience in delivering a baby. She liked to walk, read, crochet, work on puzzles and she made friends wherever she went.
She was a member of the Ambassador Club of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and of the Brown and Lynch American Legion Post 109 both in Palmer Township, PA.
A calling hour will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) followed by a funeral service at 10:30 AM. Interment will be at Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.
Esther's family would like to thank the staff at The Heritage and also at Camden Clark Hospital for their care, friendship and kindness.
