Name: Fioridino Capone, 87 of Easton, passed away Thursday April 30, 2009 in Old Orchard Manor Care, Bethlehem Twp. Born: He was born on May 17, 1921 in Elizabeth, NJ a son of the late Virgilio and Orsola Valente Capone and his stepmother the late Margaret Bond Capone. Personal: As a child Fioridino returned to Italy where he grew up and later served in the Italian Army during WWII. He later returned to America in 1948 and lived in Easton. Fioridino and his wife the former Consiglia Cerullo celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary on May 14, 2008. He was employed as a machine operator for the former Sanco Piece Die Works in Phillipsburg, Oxford Textile in Oxford, NJ and the former Blue Ridge Textile in Bangor retiring in 1984. Memberships: He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Easton. Survivors: In addition to his wife, Fioridino is survived by a son Antonio Capone of Sciota, PA; daughters Mary Hill of Stockertown, PA, Josephine Hill and Rosanna Gilliland both of Troy, PA, Virginia Celia Capone of Emmaus, PA; a sister Antonietta Drogo of Easton, PA; brothers Anthony of Long Island, NY, Clorindo of Long Island, NY, 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. A son Joseph, grandchildren Thomas Capone, Joshua Edwards, George Hill and a brother Joseph preceded Fioridino in death. Services: A calling hour will be held Monday from 8:15am until 9:15am in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00am in the church, 9th and Lehigh Streets in Easton. Interment will be in St. Anthonys Cemetery, Williams Twp. Memorials: Contributions may be made to a charity of ones choice in memory of Fioridino.
