Frances M. Melhem, 79, of Forks Twp. passed away peacefully in her home Sunday, July 1, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Philipsburg, NJ a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Budzinak) Baka.  Frances is survived by her husband John J. Melhem with whom she shared 58 years of marriage. Frances is a graduate of Phillipsburg High School, class of 1956.  She was a member of Our Lady of Lebanon Catholic Church.

In addition to her husband Frances is survived by her children;Maynard J. Melhem and his wife Toni Lynn, John A. Melhem and his wife Mia, Gregory J. Melhem all of Easton; Barbara J. Brisman and her husband Dr. Steven  Brisman of Bedford, NY, Theresa M. and her husband Barney Veres Jr. of Westfield, NJ. ; Grandchildren Rebecca and David Brisman, Sabrina and Nicholas Melhem, Alexandrea, Andrew and Margaret Melhem, Barney III and John Veres, Abigail, Maynard and Gregory Melhem. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers James T. and Andrew G. Baka.

Fran worked at Bell & Howell, Josie's Deli and as an administrative assistant at Daniel & Daniel law firm, but her favorite role was one of matriarch to her family.   She enjoyed and supported all of her family's activities including countless attending basketball games. Throughout her life, Fran was known to all who knew her to be charitable and loving.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, July 4th from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with Prayer of the Incense at 7:30 p.m. and an additional calling hour will be held Thursday, July 5th 8:15 a.m.-9:15 a.m. in the Morello Funeral Home Inc. 3720 Nicholas St. Easton, PA. A Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Lebanon Catholic Church 4th and Ferry St. Easton, PA followed by interment in Gethsemane Cemetery, Palmer Twp.
