Frances C. Miltenberger, 87, of Bethlehem Twp., passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018 in her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Frances, known as Fran or Franny to friends and family, was born in Catasauqua, PA, a daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Scheers) Hefele.  Fran graduated from Allentown Central Catholic High School, Class of 1948.  She was married to her husband Donald Miltenberger until his passing in 1997.

As a young adult, Franny loved to travel, escort cruises, and ski.  Prior to her marriage, Fran played an integral part in helping raise four of her nieces and nephews while they were young.  Later, Fran became a nanny for other children and always looked back fondly on her time spent with them.

Frances was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Church, in Easton.  She was also a member of the women's prayer group at St. Jane's.

Frances is survived by her step-daughters Donna L. Miltenberger and Kim Miltenberger–Doconcetto, a brother Thomas G. Hefele, of Zionsville, PA, and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a step-daughter Lynn A. Miltenberger, sisters Monica Bugbee and Lucia Suppan, brothers John, Joseph, George, and Dr. Charles Hefele.

A calling hour will be held on Friday, August 31, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Easton, (Palmer Twp.), PA.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Jane Frances de Chantal Church, 4049 Hartley Ave. Easton, PA 18045.  Interment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery, Catasauqua, PA, at 2:00 p.m.
