Francesco "Frank" Vigilanti, 79, of Easton, PA died October 13, 2024 surrounded by his family.
Born June 3, 1945, in Allentown. He was the son of the late Placido and Anna (Glory) Vigilanti. Husband to the late Mary Ann (Evans) Vigilanti. He is survived by his brother Anthony Vigilanti and his partner Steve Ericson of Bushnell, FL; daughter Tina Norder and her husband Robert of Bethlehem, PA and granddaughters Courtney and her husband Paul, Caitlyn, Carissa, and Christina, great-granddaughters Caliana, Carli, Camri, and great-grandsons Marco, Kylo; son Jeffrey Vigilanti of Fort Worth, TX and grandsons Nicholas and Tyler. A stepson, Brian Crouthamel of Pocono Twp, PA and grandchildren Jared and his wife Brianna, Megan, Joseph, Hannah, Gabriella, Serena, Bennett, and BrianPatrick, and great-granddaughter Madelyn. He is also survived by his companion Francine Potkin of Palmer Twp.
He was an extremely loving family man who spoke to his family members daily throughout his lifetime.
He was of the Roman Catholic Faith.
He served as the Chief of Police of the Borough of Freemansburg from July 1978 to July 1992. He was a detective with the City of Easton Police Department from September 1968 to August 1977. He worked as a police officer in Bethlehem Twp from July 1988 to April 1991. In semi-retirement, he was employed by the Delaware Joint River Toll Bridge Commission from January 1993 to February 2010.
He served as past Vice-President of The Washington Lodge 17 Easton FOP, and past advisor of The Easton Explorer Scout of The Easton Police Department. He was lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of the Fleas, and a lifetime member, past president of the The Citizen's Hose of Easton where he also served as the chairman of the board, and a member of the Lee-Hampton FOP Lodge 35.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2024 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Steet, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) An additional calling hour will be held on Monday, October 21, 2024 from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM followed by a memorial service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Hay's Cemetery, Easton, PA.
