Frank J. Chicchi, 94, of Easton, PA, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2016 in St. Lukes Hospital. Frank was born in Bethlehem, PA, a son of the late Felix and Philomena (DiClemente) Chicchi. Frank was married to the former Florence Mazza for 64 years prior to her passing in 2015. He was a Mail Handler for the Lehigh Valley Post Office before retiring in 1984. He served in the Army during World War II in the 9th and 45th Infantry Divisions, serving in combat in the North Africa, Sicily and Italy campaigns, receiving decorations including a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster. Frank was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, Disabled American Veterans and former Commander of VFW Post 1290. Frank is survived by his sons Gary Chicchi and wife Ann of E. Brunswick, NJ, Ronald Chicchi of Easton, Robert Chicchi and wife Jacqueline of Boiling Springs, PA; nephew Douglas Mazza of Easton; grandchildren Sarah, Rachel, Laura, Jarrod, Devon, Megan, and Claire Chicchi. Above all, he was an extremely devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle who selflessly put his family first in all that he did.
