Frank John Clark, III, 85, of Bethlehem Township, PA, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2018 in St. Luke's Fountain Hill. He shared 63 years of marriage with the former Marie Durako before her passing on November 21, 2017.
The only child of the late Frank Jr. and Kathryn (Fleugel) Clark, Frank was born and raised in Wilkes-Barre, PA. He was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School. Frank served in the US Navy as a Radioman during the Korean Conflict.
Frank held management positions throughout most of his work life. Prior to his retirement in 1995, he was a Senior Buyer for Princeton University. Retirement made it possible for him and his wife to spend their entire summers there; fishing, taking leisurely boat rides, and enjoying the company of friends and family.
Frank was a much loved husband, father and Pop Pop. He devoted himself to his wife and family throughout his life. His amiable demeanor, quick wit and ability to tell jokes and interesting stories endeared him to many.
Frank was a member of Sacred Heart Church Miller Heights, American Legion Brown & Lynch Post #9, and the Holy Name Society.
Frank's family is thankful to family, neighbors and friends who cared for Frank and looked out for his well-being, especially over this past year with his declining health and loss of Marie. The family also thanks the physicians and staff at St. Luke's Hospital Fountain Hill and Anderson as well as Davita Palmer Dialysis Center for their kind and thoughtful care.
