Frank S. Gugliuzza, 98, of Easton, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 4, 2019 in his home with his daughter by his side.
Born on December 9, 1920, Frank was a son of the late Gaetano and Mary (Volpe) Gugliuzza and was married to the late Anna DePalma for 57 years.
Frank was a graduate of Easton High School, class of 1939, where he was active in football, basketball and baseball. He served in World War II as a sergeant in the 5 th Army in both Africa and Europe, earning two combat infantry badges. He retired from the US Postal Service at the Easton office in 1985 as a mail carrier.
Frank was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Roman Catholic Church, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, The Varsity E Club, a life member of the Wilson Republican Club, Fleas Club, West Easton Fire house, a life member of the Roseto American Legion, life member of the Roseto Rod & Gun Club, and a member of Friends of Lafayette Basketball.
Frank is survived by a daughter Mary Ann Gugliuzza of Bethlehem Twp.; a son Thomas Gugliuzza and wife Dawn of Bethlehem Twp.; a grandson Drew Gugliuzza and wife Krista of Mt. Joy, PA; a step-granddaughter Tomasina McGuire and husband Timothy of Milford, NJ; and four step-great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers: Theresa Davis, Bessie Caleca, Mary Gugliuzza, Salvatore and Joseph Gugliuzza.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30 am in St. Jane Frances Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Palmer Twp. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp. Online condolences may be offered at www.morellofuneralhome.com.
