Frank Leauber, 91, of Palmer Twp., passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital. Frank was born in Easton, PA, the son of the late Frank and Edna Mae (Kilpatrick) Leauber. Personal: Frank was married to the former Mary Elizabeth Vernon. He served his country as a TEC 5, Company B 61st Combat Engineer in the US Army during World War II from 29 April 1943 - 1 December 1945, in North Africa, Normandy (D-Day, Omaha Beach) Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes, Central Europe, and Germany. He was the recipient of the Good Conduct medal, WW II Victory medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign medal, with five Bronze Stars. He worked as a mechanic for James River, formerly Dixie Cup, for over 44 years. Frank enjoyed hunting and fly-fishing. Memberships: He was a 32 Mason with the Forks of the Delaware Shrine Club. Frank was also a member of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon Easton Forest No. 35 and a Rajah Shriner. Survivors: Frank is survived by his sons Charles Leauber and Sally of Palmer Twp., Frank Leauber II and wife Karen of Palmer Twp.; a daughter Donna VanVliet and husband Richard of Stroudsburg; grandchildren Christy, Richard, Jennifer, and Donna; and great-grandchildren Nicholas, Haley, and Jayden. He is preceded in death by a sister Iva Kehler. Services: Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.), followed by a funeral service at 12:30 pm in the funeral home.
