Garrett Peter Ciba, 64, of Forks Twp. passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. Born on April 15, 1959 in Johnstown, PA, he was the son of Dolores (Milchak) Ciba and the late Thaddeus Ciba.

He grew up in New Jersey and graduated from Dunellen High School in 1977. In 1981, he married the love of his life, Elaine (Zmuda). Garrett worked as a US mail carrier in New Brunswick, NJ and Allentown, PA. He was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers for 39 years. He always went above and beyond for his postal patrons. He was a dedicated postal worker, putting in at least 10 hours a day, 6 days a week.

He had a passion for vinyl records which led him to start a small business, "Music on Wheels", a mobile DJ. Garrett's favorite music was Bruce Springsteen and Southside Johnny. He was a lifelong fan of the NY Giants.

He enjoyed taking his family to Wildwood Crest, NJ for many years. He also took his family to Disney World many times. He moved his family from New Jersey to Pennsylvania 31 years ago. He was always looking out for his daughters, even as they became adults. He loved being a Grandpa to Violet and was able to enjoy some fun times with her recently. He loved Maisy, the family schnauzer and always said she was the best dog. Maisy was his couch potato buddy.

In addition to his wife and mother, Garrett is survived by his daughters, Steffanie Steffanson and her husband, Kevin of Easton; Valerie Ciba of Easton; sister, Maryanne Brewster and her husband, Alan; sister-in-law, Joanne Ouellet Ciba; and grandchild, Violet Steffanson.

Garrett was preceded in death by his father, Thaddeus Ciba and his brother, Lawrence Ciba.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at 10:30 am at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) followed by interment at Holy Saviour Cemetery, 2575 Linden Street, Bethlehem, PA.
