Name: George J. Breunig, 81 of Whitehall, PA, passed away Friday, May 29, 2009 in Fellowship Manor, Whitehall Twp. PA. Born: He was born December 3, 1937 in Darmstadt Germany, son of the late George Breunig and the late Matilda Sauer Breunig. Personal: George was married to the former Mary Galasso with whom he celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary this past May 18th. George was the proprietor of Mercury Products in Hope, NJ where he was a tool & dye maker. He retired in 1992. George survived war torn Germany as a teenager and later emigrated to the United States to join his sister and brother already residing in New Jersey. Memberships: He was a member of faith Evangelical Church in Allentown, PA. He was very active in Stephens Ministry in his church where he also served as a deacon and a church elder. He was a former member of Blairstown Evangelical Free Church in New Jersey. Survivors: George is survived by his wife Mary, son, Mark Breunig his wife Susan of Palmer, Alaska. Daughters, Kristen her husband Jeffrey Mulligan of Mt Bethel, PA, Heidi her husband Christopher North of Flagstaff, AZ. Three grandchildren, Jennifer, Jenna, and Joshua. Services: Calling hours will be held Wednesday June 3, 2009 from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon immediately followed by services in the Morello Funeral Home Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp., PA.
