George W. Degenhardt, 93, of Forks Twp. passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Holy Family Senior Living in Bethlehem. Born on October 5, 1932 in Woodbridge Twp., NJ, he was the son of the late George and Theresa (Caruso) Degenhardt.
He graduated from Woodbridge High School in 1953 and proudly served in the United States Navy. Upon his honorable discharge, George was employed as a sales representative for Lenox Corp. George loved to travel to new adventures. At home, he would tend to his flower garden and grew the best orchids. He enjoyed playing bocce ball for Country Meadows. His treasured moments were spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
George is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Marie (DeMarino) Degenhardt; daughter, Karen Truncale and her husband, Steve, of Easton and grandchildren, Stephen and his wife Lorena Truncale, of MA and Matthew and his wife Sanjana Truncale, of MI.
In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his sister, Theresa Peterscak.
A calling time will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 from 11:30 AM until 12:00 PM at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. Interment is private at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made in George's name to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516.
