George D. Moran, 88, of Forks Twp., PA, peacefully went to the Lord on Friday, July 24, 2020.
George was born in Hokendauqua, PA, a son of the late Robert J. and Florence (Meganhardt) Moran.
George was married to the former Josephine Bobinis until her passing in 2008. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War as a First Sgt. He was a supervisor for Bethlehem Steel Records and Archives for 44 years, until retiring in 1994. He enjoyed traveling the world multiple times with family, and gaming with longtime friend Dorothy Newberry of Orefield.
George is survived by sons Stanley M. Rauktis and wife Karen of Forks Twp., Dr. Richard R. Rauktis of Marathon, FL, Robert J. Moran and wife Robin of Palmer Twp.; daughter Kathleen Kubat and husband William of Palmer Twp.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by six sisters, and two brothers.
A calling period will be held on Friday, July 31, 2020 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.), followed by a Graveside Service at 11:00 am Friday, July 31, 2020 in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.
