George Francis Snyder Sr. 83, of Asbury NJ, passed away on Friday June 21, 2019 in Easton Hospital.

George was born in Baptistown NJ, a son of the late Ruth G. Snyder. He was a loving father, grandfather, and dear friend.

George was a graduate of Phillipsburg High School, class of 1954. He served in the Army and was honorably discharged in 1959. George worked as a Specialty Assembler for Bell and Howell for 45 years and was a member of the Franklin Township Fire Department. In 2014 he was inducted into the Phillipsburg Football Hall of Fame.

George is survived by sons George F. Snyder Jr and wife Susan, of Bethlehem PA, Luis C. Snyder and wife Terri of Flemington NJ, daughter Lynne Kline and husband James of Effort PA, brother Frederick C. Opdyke and wife Lynne of Twin Falls ID, dear friends Beverly, Mark, Greg and Christopher Rossetti of Phillipsburg NJ, 7 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews, and Duke the shop dog.

A graveside service will be held at a later date. Services are under the direction of Morello Funeral Home Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton PA 18045.
