Gilliam Jeter, Jr., 87, of Easton, passed away at home on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, with his wife by his side. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey on May 25, 1935, he was a son of the late Laura (Coleman) Jeter and Gilliam Jeter, Sr. and his late wife Leonora (Simms) Jeter. He graduated from  high school in Queens, NY. Gill worked in the automotive industry for several years before he began work as a foreman with the New York City Department of Transportation, he retired in 2000. He married Annette (Clarke) Jeter on August 16, 1976 and started a family together.

Gill enjoyed fixing cars and was handy as a mechanic. He was always able to help someone out when it came to their automotive needs.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Michelle Allison, Regina Jenkins, Jai Jeter, Ruth Jeter, Leonora Jeter, Reuben Jeter, Laura M. Jeter, Rashiede Gilliam Jeter, Sr. and his wife Rose; grandchildren, Rashelle G. Jeter, Rashiede G. Jeter Jr., Ryan G. Jeter, Reece G. Jeter, Shariff R. Jeter, Alecia Thomas,  Harold Johnson, Sean Johnson, Shawna Jeter, Elijah Jeter, Shauna Brown, Rena Jeter, DeJuan Coley, Alicia Jeter, Anthony Jeter, Taylin Jeter, Reagan Jeter, Cree Jeter,  numerous great grandchildren; brother, Shaheed Shahady; and two nieces.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons Michael and Anthony Jeter and daughter, Jenni Johnson.
