Obituary

Gino Anthony Finocchio, 57, of Easton, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Pocono. Born in Fountain Hill on February 24, 1965, he was a son of the late Gloria (Pinter) and Daniel Finocchio, Sr. He attended Wilson High School and graduated from Easton High School in 1983. Gino studied architecture at Northampton Community College. He worked for the city of Easton's engineering department and most recently was employed by Easton Area School District as the head custodian of Cheston Elementary School. Gino previously did seasonal work for many years at both Kay and Sterling jewelers.

Gino was a member of St. Anthony's of Padua in Easton. He was also a member of the Wilson Democratic Club and a member of the former Order of the Fleas Club. Gino loved sports and was an avid Miami Dolphins and New York Yankee's fan. His love of football and baseball lead him to become a youth coach for both sports for many years for the city of Easton. He enjoyed cooking and spending time around the table with friends and family. Gino was very proud of his Italian heritage. He was someone who could tell a good story and like to make people laugh. He cherished the trips to Atlantic city, his love for the beach, and the car rides he took every day with his beloved dog, Zelda.

He survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Toni A. (Bianco) Finocchio; sons, Joseph A. Finocchio and wife Jessica, Effort; Nicolo W. Finocchio, Easton, whom Gino was incredibly proud of for serving in the United States Marine Corp. He also leaves behind a sister, Tina Ward and husband Bill, Allentown; brother, Daniel Finocchio and fiancée Tracy Mclean, Easton; granddaughters, Aubriana and Giovannina; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) followed by a funeral service at 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Lil Rovers Field House checks can be mailed to Fulton Bank 280 Line Street Easton PA 18042.
