Gloria Mary Shaheen, 92, passed away peacefully and embraced by the love of her children on November 15. She was the daughter of the late Mary (Stevens) and Joseph Abboud. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, Gloria attended La Salle Academy and worked alongside her mother in a jewelry factory.

She first met her beloved husband, Nadine Peter (Ned) Shaheen of Easton, Pennsylvania, at a Christmas Eve mass in Providence. When they married, she moved to Easton where she devoted her life to caring for and fiercely advocating for their two children. Gloria and Ned raised their family together for 63 years until his death in 2016.

Gloria is survived by her children, Carol Shaheen and Ronnie Shaheen, both of Palmer Township. She was also the sister of Danny Abboud and the late Fred Abboud, both of Rhode Island. She leaves behind many dear friends and relatives in Pennsylvania and Rhode Island who love her and will miss her as well.

Gloria was a parishioner at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church in Easton.

Services and interment are private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton (Palmer Twp.).
