Obituary

Devoted mother and grandmother, Grace Ann Milbauer, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at the age of 80 in her home after a courageous battle with Dementia. She was surrounded by her loved ones who will continue to hold her in their hearts forever.

Grace was born February 1, 1941 in Queens, NY. She was the daughter of the late Gladys Morrissey and James Morrissey. Grace was a graduate of Richmond Hill High School, Class of 1959.

With a personality as large as life, Grace spent over 25 years driving public busses for the Metropolitan Transit Authority in Long Island, NY. Anyone who met her knew that she loved driving busses and building long-lasting relationships with all her passengers. Everyone looked forward to her smile and quick wit.

Grace was also a devoted mother. She loved to make creative chocolates and beautiful crafts for her children when they were little. That continued as they grew when she helped with her daughter's Air Force fundraisers and sent regular care packages to troops in Iraq. She also loved to dance and spoke fondly of her younger years when she would dance all night long.

Grace is survived by her three children, seven grandchildren, and eldest sister. Her eldest daughter, Stacy Kihara and son in-law Shane Kihara reside in Mililani, Hawaii and have two children, Scarlett (8) and Sai (6). Grace was insanely proud of Stacy's military service and loved to visit her daughter at duty stations across the United States. Her middle daughter, Lori Milbauer-Banach resides in Easton, Pennsylvania and has two daughters, Kristen (20) and Emily (14). Grace moved out of New York to be close to her daughter after the birth of her first grandchild, Kristen. Grace passed away after three and a half years in the loving and dedicated care of her daughter, Lori. Her son, Ricky Milbauer resides in Easton, Pennsylvania and has three children, Jeremy (14), Blake (10), and Annabelle (4). As her youngest child and only son, Ricky was her baby and the apple of her eye. Grace is also survived by her eldest sister, Jane Buquicchio, who resides in Port Orange, Florida. She is preceded in death by her beloved sisters Carol Fitton and Susan Tucker.

Grace was also loved by those who spent the last many years taking care of her as if she was family. Missy Creazzo and her family dedicated their time and love to ensure Grace had the best end of life she could.
