Harry M. “Bud” Wimer III, 83, of Emmaus, PA passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at Legend Senior Living in Allentown with his family by his side. Born on August 4, 1943 in Harrisburg, PA, he was the son of the late Mary (DeHart) and Harry M. Wimer, Jr.
Bud graduated from John Harris High School located in Harrisburg, PA in 1961. He proudly served his country in the Navy during Vietnam War. Upon his honorable discharge, he took over the family business, Wimers Auction, where most of the employees were family. Later, he became an insurance district sales coordinator with AFLAC until his retirement in 2014.
Over the years, Bud belonged to the VFW, Lions Club and volunteered at The Salvation Army. Bud was an avid runner and ran 5 marathons (26.2 miles). He also was an avid kayaker and skier. Bud loved to travel and went to Asia and many countries in Europe, as well as numerous other places with his loving wife. Bud had a great sense of humor and enjoyed playing practical jokes on his family and friends.
Bud is survived by the love of his life, Cynthia (Holden) Wimer to whom he was married for 41 years. He is also survived by sons, Harry M. Wimer IV and his wife Barbara, Jeffrey A. Wimer; step-son, Matthew R. Kirsch; grandchildren, Rebekah Sauder, Ada Smith, Althea Wimer, Hosea Wimer, Chandra Litchfield, Kaleb Litchfield; step-grandchildren, Peyton Kirsch, Gavin Kirsch, Charlotte Kirsch; great-grandchildren, Lucas, Matthias, and Declan; sister, Dorothy “Dottie” Wimer-Parra; niece, Debbie Stoner-Gonzalez and her husband Alfedo; nephew, Mark Stoner and his wife, Karen; and aunt, Mildred Shaver, in addition to many cousins.
In addition to his parents, Bud was predeceased by a step-son, Stephen E. Kirsch and brother-in-law Andrew Parra.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 from 10:30 AM until 11:00 AM at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Linden Street, Bethlehem, PA.
