Helen J. Jabour, 95, of Easton, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 29, 2019 in St. Luke's Hospice House.

Helen was born in Bethlehem, PA, a daughter of the late Joseph and Anastasia "Stella" (Strybuc) Smolsky.

She was married to Joseph A. Jabour until his passing in June 2009. Helen was a graduate of Liberty High School, class of 1943. During WWII, she worked at Bethlehem Steel in the Shell Shop. Later, she was a sewing machine operator for the former Easton Dress, the former Betty Lee, and A&H Sportswear, where she retired from in 1986.

Helen was a member of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, and the Unite Garment Workers Union. She enjoyed excursions to New York City to see the Rat Pack, and later on frequent trips to Atlantic City, Vermont, and attending musical and sporting events for her grandchildren.

Helen is survived by a daughter Mary Judith Chaponis and husband Robert of Bethlehem; grandchildren Jonathan and Stephen; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her sisters Anna Marie Smolsky, Josephine Messinger, Florence Smolsky; her brothers Steve and Stanley Smolsky.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.), with a Prayer of the Incense at 7:30 pm. An additional calling hour will be held on Friday from 8:15 am to 9:15 am in the funeral home. A Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, 4 ^th & Ferry Streets, Easton, PA. Interment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Palmer Twp.
