Born: Helen was born in Bangor, PA, a daughter of the late Herman and Ethel (Hopper) Riley. Personal: Helen was married to William Willy A. Messenlehner for 65 years before his passing in 2011. She loved reading, polka dancing with her husband and most of all, her visits with her loving children and grandchildren. Memberships: Helen was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, and was active with various school and church activities. Survivors: Helen is survived by son Michael Messenlehner and wife Diane of Wilson Boro; daughters Marlene Lakey and husband Dale of Bethlehem, Ann Lear and husband Don of Palmer Twp., Kathleen Frederick and husband David of Bethlehem; a sister Dorothy Nepa of Nazareth; grandchildren Amy and Regan. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by a son William Billy Messenlehner. Services: Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and also on Thursday from 9:00 am to 10:00 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 am in St. Janes Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Easton, PA. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.
