Helen Arlene Sofranko, 94, a resident at Moravian Hall Square, Nazareth, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 17, 2019.

Arlene was born in Raubsville, PA, a daughter of the late Stewart and Florence (Heater) Richards.

Arlene was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Thomas C. Sofranko. She was a graduate of Easton High School, class of 1942. She worked in dry cleaning at Kings, and also silk screening, before becoming a nurses' aide to residents at the former Eastwood Nursing and Convalescent Home. She was a caring and compassionate woman focused on providing love and support to her family.

Arlene was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, Palmer Twp.

Arlene is survived by a daughter Linda Hostelley and husband Dr. Richard Hostelley of Jenkintown, PA; a son Thomas Sofranko and wife Anne of Cranford, NJ; daughter Mary Ann Noto and husband Ronald of Clarks Summit, PA; grandchildren Katie Waelde and husband Richard of Roselle, NJ; Michael Sofranko and wife Lindsey of Cranford, NJ; and three great-grandchildren Haley, Kieran, and Joseph.

A calling hour will be held on Tuesday from 9:30 am to 10:15 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00 am in St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Palmer Twp. Interment will be in St. Joseph's New Cemetery, South Side Easton, PA.

The family wishes to acknowledge the care, support, and love provided by caregivers to Arlene over the past 16 years by Griswold Home Care of the Lehigh Valley and by the dedicated staff in Laurel Community at Moravian Hall Square of Nazareth.
