Ignatius "Iggy" P. Merlo, 93, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 in Easton Manor Care.

Iggy was born in Pittston, PA, a son of the late Leonardo and Giovannina "Jennie" (Montagna) Merlo.

Iggy was married to the former Connie Platia until her passing in 2015. He was a graduate of Pittston High School, class of 1944, and attended Churchman's Business School. He proudly served in the US Army during World War II. Iggy was an Accountant for Bethlehem Steel.

He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and the VFW.

Iggy is survived by a son Michael Merlo of Easton; a daughter JoAnn Merlo of Nazareth; a sister Josephine Merlo of Palmer Twp.; grandchildren Thomas, Shannon, and Jennie Davis. In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by his brothers Sebastian, Charles and Joseph Merlo.
