Irma Schoeppner, 99, of Williams Twp. passed away peacefully on October 13, 2023 in her home. She was born on February 20, 1924 in the Black Forest town of Kappel-Gutachbruecke, Germany. She was the daughter of the late August and Berta (Guenter) Kammerer.
Irma was a well-educated person with a thirst for knowledge who started her education in Germany as a surveyor. After immigrating to the US in1954, she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Languages from St. Bonaventure University; her Master's Degree in Education from Lehigh University; and pursued a Doctorate Degree in German Literature from Rutgers University. Irma worked as a surveyor, a teacher of languages at Moravian Academy, and as an industrial designer for Ingersoll Rand. She was an avid reader and loved to garden. She showed her creative side with her writing and painting.
Irma is survived by her children, Eric Schoeppner, M.D. and Gabrielle Schoeppner, M.D.; grandchildren, Vivian Argento, M.D. and her husband, Adrian; Stephen Schoeppner and his wife, Christina; Caitlin Boas, J.D.; Otto Boas; great grandchildren, Ian, Ava, Simone, Ayla, and Glen.
In addition to her parents, Irma was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Schoeppner; her daughter-in-law, Ingeborg Schoeppner; brothers, Erich, Karl, and Helmut.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023, from 3:30 pm until 5:00 pm at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton (Palmer Twp.)
