James Joseph Begies, 80, of Nazareth, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2014, at Gracedale Nursing Home, in Nazareth. Born: James was born in Pen Argyl, Pa a son to the late John and Mary (Toth) Begies. Personal: James attended Pen Argyl High School, class of 1953. James served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1962, stationed in Korea during peacetime and was honorably discharged. During his time in the services he received a Good Conduct Medal. James worked many years as a cement mill truck driver. Memberships: He belonged to the VFW, in Nazareth and Holy Family Sick and Beneficial Society. Predeceased by his brother John R. Begies. Survivors: James is survived by a sister Joyce Szilagyi and her husband Charles, of Bethlehem; nephews, nieces, and cousins.
