James Barry "Jim" Martin, 76, of Easton, PA passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025 at Arden Courts. Born on August 12, 1948 in Easton, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Dicker) Martin.

He graduated in 1966 from Notre Dame High School, Green Pond and earned his Bachelor's Degree in education from Bloomsburg State College in 1970. He then married Theresa (Montoro) with whom he would have shared 55 years of marriage on May 30th. Jim furthered his education at East Stroudsburg College by earning his Master's Degree in education. He taught math at Easton Area Schools until retiring in 2004. But Jim missed being an educator and came out of retirement. In 2005, he taught at Pius X High School in Bangor and from 2006 until 2017, he returned as a math teach to his alma mater, Notre Dame.

Jim served as treasurer for the Easton Area Education Association and was a lifetime member of PSEA and PSEAR. He was a Eucharist Minister for St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church. In his leisure time, he enjoyed cross stitch. He was well known for his delicious homemade ravioli and tasty Easter candies.

In addition to his loving wife, Theresa (Montoro) Martin, Jim is survived by his daughter, Veronica Wiley and husband, Michael of Leesport, PA; grandchildren, Nicole Cullinan and husband, Justin of Colorado; Christine Breidinger and husband, Dan of Morgantown, PA; Lillian Wiley of Slippery Rock, PA; James Wiley and Maggie Wiley of Leesport, PA; great-grandchild, Harper Grace Breidinger of Morgantown, PA; brothers, David Martin and wife, Marsha of Lancaster, PA; Joseph Martin and wife, Mary of Camp Hill, PA; seven nieces; many great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Martin; sisters-in-law, Kathleen Martin and Joanne Martin.

A calling hour will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Ninth and Lehigh Streets, Easton, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery.
