James F. OHara, 94, of Easton, PA, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017 in Country Meadows Senior Living.

James was born in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late James and Mary (Boyle) OHara.

James was married to the former Bernadette Conway, with whom he celebrated 73 years of marriage last November. He was a graduate of Alexander Hamilton High School, Brooklyn, New York. He was a dispatcher for New York City Transit Authority for over 30 years.

In addition to his wife, James is survived by a son James F. OHara Jr., and wife Lorraine of Easton; daughters Bernadette McQuade and husband Michael of Naples, FL, Maureen Heeny of Olyphant, PA; brothers John J. OHara and wife Patricia of Flushing Meadows, NY, Hugh OHara of Sioux City IA; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a daughter Mary Ann OHara; and a sister Mary DeGroff.

A calling hour will be held on Tuesday from 7:30 am to 8:30 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 9:00 am in St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Ave. Palmer Twp. Interment will be in St. Charles Cemetery, NY.
