Obituary

James William Rabbitt, 86, of Easton, PA passed away on Friday, August 19, 2022,  in his home. James was the son of the late James P. and Thelma (Steward) Rabbitt. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Brooklyn, NY before attaining his associate's degree. He was the Director of Management and Negotiations for Government at AT&T.

He was the husband of the late Barbara (Kresge) Rabbitt with whom he shared 60 years of marriage before her passing in 2018. James was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church. He was an active member of The Knights of Columbus in New York and New Jersey, where he served as Grand Knight.

He is survived by his six children, Susan Burgueno and her husband Joshua, of Las Vegas, NV; Mary Feola of Long Branch, NJ; Dianne Byers and her husband John, of Sparta, NJ; James P. Rabbitt and his wife Lauren, of East Stroudsburg, PA; Ann Rabbitt, of Annandale, NJ; and Kathleen Holzmacher and her husband Bryan, of Easton, PA; sixteen grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, James was preceded in death by his sisters, Mildred Rabbitt and Thelma Ellis.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2022 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm and Wednesday, August 24, 2022 from 9:00 am until 10:00 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at 10:30 am in St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). Interment will follow in Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery, Green Township, NJ. Online condolences may be offered at www.morellofuneralhome.com.
