James Nash Shackleford Jr., of Easton, PA passed away suddenly on Friday, January 14 ^th , 2022 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Montclair, NJ, the son of Ruthie (Dukes) Shackleford and the late James Nash Shackleford Sr.

James had a passion for historical research which led him to discover the existence of slavery in South Brunswick. Through his dedication to history, James uncovered the lost Deans Cemetery which became a part of the documented history of South Brunswick. James loved volunteering for Holiday Express to bring hope and joy to people in need during the holiday season. During the weekends he would enjoy his favorite cocktail, an Old Fashioned. He enjoyed music, classic cars, movies, building model cars, Disney and most importantly spending time with his family.

James is survived by his wife Charleen (Hezekiah) Shackleford of Easton, son Christopher James Shackleford, of Kendall Park, NJ, daughters Shannon Williamson and her husband Colin, of Bloomsbury, NJ, and Courtney Shackleford, of Farmers Branch, TX, sister in laws Carolyn Hoitela, of Piscataway, NJ, Gael Hilton, of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Coleen Hezekiah, of San Diego, CA. James also was the proud grandfather "Papa James" to Nash Williamson.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street Easton, PA 18045. Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be private to the family.
