Jamie Thomas, 55, of Easton, PA passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 5, 2024. Born in Hannibal, Missouri, Jamie was a son of the late Paul "Pud" and Donna R. (Nichols) Thomas.
Jamie graduated from Hannibal High School in 1987 and went on to earn his bachelors in hotel management & hospitality with a minor in accounting from Missouri State University in 1991. He started his career as a General Manager for Garfield's Restaurant and later at Dalts American Classic Grill, near Nashville, Tennessee. While living in Tennessee Jamie went on to meet his forever partner, Jayson Morgan in 1992. In addition, the enthusiastic and exuberant entrepreneur that he was, Jamie went on to co-own his own interior design store, Jux-Positions in Berryhill, TN and start one of the first pet sitting businesses in Nashville, named "Dirty Paws on Pettus". He also served as a Financial Aid Advisor for the Salon Professional Academy Nashville, TN. Jamie was a talented investor and rehabilitator of various properties and real estate ventures with Jayson Morgan. Ultimately, Jamie landed in Easton, PA where he and Jayson built a life that continued to grow and flourish. Together they created a well-respected and award-winning business in the J. Morgan Salon Company. Jamie nurtured this business from a single styling chair to multiple locations while being recognized as one of the top salons in Easton, PA for 15 years running.
Jamie was a vibrant ray of light with boundless energy who was constantly smiling and laughing. He had a warm heart who made everyone he encountered feel welcome and special. Jamie loved to spend endless amounts of time talking and laughing with friends while enjoying good wine and great dinners. He especially loved to spend time in Asbury Park, walking on the beach and collecting sea glass. Jamie created a lifetime of memories and adventures while traveling the world with his partner Jayson.
Jamie Thomas is survived by his loving partner of 32 years, Jayson Morgan; brother, Paul E. Thomas and his wife, Kimberly; Grandfather, James E. Boettcher; niece Lauren A. (Thomas) Davenport and her husband, Andrew; nephew, Paul W. Thomas and his wife, Shawna; a great niece and a great nephew; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmothers Rowena R. Boettcher and Mary E. (Tarode) Nichols.
He will be greatly missed by his faithful canine companions, Rudy and Sawyer. Jamie will live forever in the hearts of all who knew him.
Calling hours will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton (Palmer Twp.) followed by a time of sharing.
