Janet K. Dech, 84, of Palmer Township passed away on November 6, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.

Janet was born on February 26, 1937 in Phillipsburg, NJ to the late Albert and Thelma (Stiles) Hamlen. She graduated from Phillipsburg High School,  class of 1954. Janet was a secretary for many years at American Can.

Janet was a member of Cornerstone Evangelical Church, in Easton. She enjoyed attending bible study at Calvary Church, traveling, her book club with friends, gardening, walking, biking, reading, crossword puzzles, cross stitch, exercising, and spending time with her family and friends.

Janet is survived by her loving daughters Ronna Rae Couser and her husband Gregory, of Xenia, Ohio, Lori Rae Velekei and her husband Gary, of Palmer Township, grandchildren Jaklyn, Francesca, Victoria, Dominique, Lorissa, Gregory, Geoffrey;  great grandchildren Tobias, Wellington, Lachlan, Lawrence. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother Thomas Hamlen.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2021 in Morello Funeral Home, Inc. 3720 Nicholas Street Easton, (Palmer twp), PA at 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 a.m in the funeral home. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Easton, PA.
