Name: Jean Cappello, 89, of Lower Mt. Bethel, passed away Thursday, January 13th, at Gracedale Nursing Home. Born: Jean was born on October 13, 1921 in Martins Creek, PA, a daughter of the late Michael and Luisa Mossa Torquati. Personal: Jean worked as a sewing machine operator for the former Lehigh Frocks, retiring in 1983. Her husband Emanuel J. Chubby Cappello died in 1977. Memberships: Jean was a member of St. Roccos Catholic Church. Survivors: Jean is survived by a daughter Rebecca J. Cappello of Walnutport; a son David J. Cappello of Martins Creek; a sister Dina Plebani of Martins Creek; and two grandchildren Brittany and Chad Cappello. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her sisters Mary Torquati, Antoinetti DiLorenzo; brothers Emidio Torquati, Edward Torquati, Pat Torquati, and Michael Torquati. Services: Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 am in St. Roccos Church, 6658 School Street, Martins Creek, PA. Interment will be at Northampton Memorial Shrine.
