Joan E. Bertolino, 85, of Williams Twp., PA, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2020 in Saucon Valley Manor, Hellertown.
Joan was born in Easton, PA, a daughter of the late Melvin and Dorothy (Charles) Taylor.
Joan was married to Philip Bertolino Sr., until his passing in 2003. She was a graduate of Easton High School, class of 1952; graduated from Easton Hospital school of Nursing in 1955 as an RN; received her Bachelor's Degree from East Stroudsburg in 1979; and attended University of Scranton where she received her Master's Degree in Human Resources in 1986. Joan was a Registered Nurse for Easton Hospital, and later the VNA of Easton, from where she retired in 1997.
She was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, the Health & Wellness ministry at St. Jane's Church, and the Red Hat Society.
Joan is survived by a son Philip Bertolino II of Nazareth, PA; daughters Michele Kocsis, Tamara Berger and husband David of Williams Twp.; a sister Beverly Blasco of Palmer Twp.; a brother Melvin Taylor of Plainfield Twp.; grandchildren Alexander, Jeffrey, Christie, Zachary, and Justin, great grandson Colton. She is predeceased in death by a son-in-law Jeffrey Kocsis.
A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). Due to COVID-19, we still need to practice social distancing, therefore, we will be limiting visitation to 25 rotating people at a time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 10 at 10:30 am in St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Palmer Twp. There is a limit of up to 200 people in attendance at the church. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.
