Joan M. LeFosse, 80, of Douglassville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 in Reading Hospital. Born: Joan was born in Brooklyn, NY, a daughter of the late Matt and Spina (Scalia) David. Personal: Joan was married to John LeFosse, with whom she celebrated 52 years of marriage last June 16. She was a graduate of Fort Hamilton in Brooklyn, NY, class of 1952. She loved to take photos, and enjoyed shopping. Memberships: Joan was a member of Immaculate Conception Church of Douglasville. Prior to that, she was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church. Joan was also a member of the Red Hat Society, and the Womens Society at Immaculate Conception. Survivors: In addition to her husband, Joan is survived by her sons Frank Balestrieri and wife Joan of Malverne, NY, Peter Balestrieri of New York, NY; daughters Catherine Hill and husband Jeffrey of Douglassville, PA, Joan LeFosse Paulsen and husband Erik of Weehawken, NJ; grandchildren Tara, Danean, Noah, Matthew, Olivia; great-grandchildren Michael and Nicholas. Services: Calling hours will be held on Friday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and also on Saturday from 9:00 am to 10:00 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in St. Jane Frances Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Palmer Twp. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.
