Obituary

Name: Joan M. Stabp, 82 of Palmer Twp., passed away Tuesday August 25, 2015 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenburg. Born: She was born on September 1, 1932 in Phillipsburg, NJ a daughter of the late Edward L. and L. Jeanette Castner Rodenbough. Personal: Joan was preceded in death by her husband William Brooke Stabp in 2004. She was employed as an RN for Easton Hospital for over 25 years until her retirement. She was a graduate of Phillipsburg High School and Easton Hospital School of Nursing. She enjoyed bowling and traveling with her friends and family. Memberships: Joan was a member of Pilgrim Presbyterian Church in Phillipsburg, NJ. Survivors: Joan is survived by her daughters Susan E. Seidel of Bethlehem Twp., Kimberly A. Moser of Wilson Boro., Christine M. Carr of Bath, Carol N. Smith of Palmerton; sisters Gloria Brown of Easton, Gail Osmun of Phillipsburg; grandchildren Sean, Jason, Courtney, Frank, William, Sandi, Tiffany, Kristie and great grandchildren Mason, Gavin, Jayden, Damion, Hailey, Zachery, Nicolas, Ryan, Livia, Collin, Arik, Alexis, Brianna and Tristin. In addition to her husband, grandchildren Brian and Makenzie preceded Joan in death. Services: A calling hour will be held on Tuesday from 12:00pm until 1:00pm in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp. followed by a memorial service at 1:00pm in the funeral home. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp. Memorial Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Gift of Life, The Family House, 401 N. 3rd St. Philadelphia, PA 19103 in memory of Joan and in honor of her grandson Brian who was an organ donor.
