Joan Marie Swope, 87, of Bethlehem Twp., PA, passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021.

She was born in Phillipsburg, NJ, a daughter of the late James F. and Verna (Hunter) Wambold; one of nine children.

Joan was married to Robert C. Swope until his passing. She worked in the Office of Chipman Knitting Mills, Lafayette College, St. Joseph's and Easton Catholic.

Joan is survived by a daughter Susan McGinley of Bethlehem Twp.; brothers Donald "Murph" and wife Mary of Nazareth, Paul of Palmer Twp., Richard "Dick" and wife Georgeann of Forks Twp. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by a son-in-law Robert McGinley; a sister-in-law Nancy Wambold; brothers James "Ossie" and wife Betty, John "Jack" and wife Margaret, Thomas; sisters Elizabeth and husband James "Jim", and Catherine.

To honor Joan's request, there will be no services. Joan wanted everyone to spend time with their loved ones, celebrate life and support those in need. She believed a life well lived was giving of oneself on a daily basis. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp).
