Obituary

With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Joanne B. Ferraro, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, who peacefully departed this life on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg, at the age of 71. Her life, which began on January 30, 1954, in Easton, PA, was a testament to the power of love, family, and the beauty found in the simple joys of life. Joanne was the daughter of the late Bernard and Dorothy (Chegwidden) Trenberth.

A proud graduate of Easton Area High School, Class of 1971, Joanne initially contributed her talents to Dixie Cup. However, her true calling and greatest happiness came from dedicating herself to her family as a loving wife and mother. Her home was a sanctuary of warmth and care, a place where love flourished and memories were lovingly created.

Joanne embraced life with enthusiasm. She enjoyed the camaraderie of bowling at Bar-Don Lanes, found solace and joy in swimming, and cherished the adventures of traveling. Her hands possessed a magical touch in the garden, where she cultivated a breathtaking oasis, a vibrant reflection of her own nurturing spirit. Above all else, spending time with her family brought her immeasurable joy, creating bonds that will endure through generations.

Beyond her devotion to family, Joanne possessed an inquisitive mind and a deep appreciation for community. She was a faithful member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church and found fellowship in St. Anthony of Padua's Golden Age Club. Her passion for the past led her to become a dedicated member of the Palmer Township Historical Society and an enthusiastic participant in an Archeology Club, where she unearthed stories of bygone eras.

Joanne's legacy of love and devotion lives on through her beloved husband of 50 years, Angelo R. Ferraro Sr.; her loving sons, Derek (Gino) Ferraro and his wife, Michelle of Hawaii, and Angelo (Boomer) Ferraro and his wife, Sara of Palmer Twp.; her devoted daughters, Deena Ferraro of Palmer and Stepdaughter Doreen Zambrana of Whitehall. She was a proud and adoring grandmother to Brianna, Michael, Isabella, Angelo, Josie, Anthony, Charlotte, and Nico, and a cherished great-grandmother to Jadiel and Armani. Her brother, James Trenberth, and his wife, Beverly, also survive her.

Joanne was predeceased by her parents and her stepdaughter, Kimberly Ferraro, who held a special place in her heart.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Joanne's life during the calling hours on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., located at 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.). A funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 11:30 AM. Interment will be held at Northampton Memorial Shrine.
