John A. Cacciatore, 86, of Palmer Township, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg. Born on October 18, 1938 in Bethlehem, PA, he was the son of the late Frank and Anna (Messick) Cacciatore. He graduated from Liberty High School and Bethlehem Vocational Technical School in 1956.
A dedicated salesman, John built his career working for Peter P. Dennis Inc., a tobacco and candy distributor. He approached each day with a genuine passion for his work, forming lasting relationships throughout his career leading him to be named the top salesman of over 8000 salespeople nationwide. Beyond his professional endeavors, John was also a gifted musician who played in a band for over 40 years, bringing joy to many people in the local area through his love of music.
John was instrumental in inspiring countless young athletes with his passionate commitment to coaching football, baseball, and basketball for the Palmer Township Athletic Association. He also ran the Umpire Association; being responsible for hiring and scheduling all the umpires to be assigned for all games in the baseball league at the Palmer complex. John oversaw the Anthony J. Minotti Scholarship Fund that rewarded Easton and Notre Dame graduates who played in the program and whose parents were dedicated as volunteers to the Palmer School Complex.
John was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and the National Tobacco and Candy Distributors Association. He was also a lifetime member of the Palmer Township Athletic Association.
John is survived by his loving wife, Emily (Boscia) Cacciatore; his son, John Cacciatore of Palmer Township; and his cherished grandchildren, Scott and Gabriella.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by son, Scott Cacciatore; sisters, Laura Snyder, Mary Burns, Theresa Reif; and brothers, Frank and Tony Cacciatore.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 9th and Lehigh Streets, Easton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Williams Twp.
