John Coscia, Sr., 95, of Palmer Twp., PA passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at Northampton Post Acute. Born on June 2, 1930 in West Bangor, PA, he was the son of the late Carmen and Lena (Sottolano) Coscia.
He earned his Associate’s Degree from Muhlenberg College and proudly served in The United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Upon his honorable discharge, he was employed as a medical lab technician for Easton Hospital. He was also the proprietor of John’s Gun and Tackle Room in Palmer Twp. for many years.
John was a member of St. Joseph Episcopal Church in West Bangor, PA and a member of the American Legion in Pen Argyl for 70 years. He was a life member of the NRA and Easton Fish and Game and American Society of Clinical Pathology.
John is survived by his son, Dr. John Coscia, Jr. and his wife, Tracy of Williamsville, NY; daughters, June Marie Coscia of Egg Harbor Twp., NJ; Nancy Coscia of Sayre, PA; grandchildren, Jessie, Jordan, Gianna and Nina; and great-grandchildren, Gemma and Alice.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife, June Marie (Moser) Coscia; sister, Mary Bufi; and brothers, Samuel and Anthony Coscia.
Services are private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) Memorial contributions may be made in John’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Shriners Children’s, 3551 N Broad St, Philadelphia, PA 19140.
