John J. Delserro

John J. Delserro, 95, of Palmer Township, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on April 14, 1931, in Easton, PA, John was the son of the late Samuel Delserro and Angelina (Chillot) Delserro Boylan. He was the devoted husband of Nancy V. Delserro, with whom he shared 67 wonderful years of marriage before her passing in 2018. Nancy was a remarkable woman whose love, strength, kindness, and devotion enriched John’s life and their family. Together, they built a beautiful life centered on faith, family, and cherished traditions.

John graduated from Easton Area High School and proudly served in the United States Coast Guard from 1948 to 1952. During his service, he played a role in the development of Long Range Navigation (LORAN) technology, contributing to the growing research and technological innovation that helped pave the way for the development of NASA and the advancements that followed in navigation and space exploration.

For more than 50 years, John was the proud owner and operator of Superior TV & Appliances in Phillipsburg, NJ. After retiring, he enjoyed spending his time woodworking, gardening, and making wine.

John took great pride in his Italian heritage and cherished the traditions that came with it, including his involvement in local Italian festivals. His faith was also an important part of his life. He was a devoted member of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church and was active with Catholic Charities and the Serra Club. He also served as president of the Holy Name Society.

Above all, John’s greatest pride and joy was his family. He is survived by his three sons, John Delserro and his wife, Carol; Samuel Delserro and his wife, Michele; and Gary Delserro and his wife, Melanie; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and his brother-in-law, James Mich.

In addition to his beloved wife, Nancy, John was preceded in death by his sister, Helynne (Boylan) Mich.

John leaves behind a legacy of faith, family, hard work, and tradition that will continue to live on through the generations of his family who loved him dearly.

A calling hour will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM in St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Easton, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM in the church followed by interment at Northampton Memorial Shrine, Green Pond Road, Easton, PA. Arrangements are entrusted to Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.)
