John J. Delserro

John J. Delserro, 95, of Palmer Twp., PA passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2026 in his home surrounded by family. Born on April 14, 1931 in Easton, PA, he was the son of the late Samuel Delserro and Angelina (Chillot) Delserro Boylan. John was the loving husband to a wonderful woman, Nancy V. Delserro, with whom he shared 67 years of marriage before her passing in 2018.

He graduated from Easton Area High School and proudly served in The United States Coast Guard from 1948 until 1952. During his time in the Coast Guard, he played a role in developing Long Range Navigation (LORAN) technology, contributing to the growing research and innovation that helped pave the way for the development of NASA. John was the owner/operator of Superior TV & Appliances in Phillipsburg, NJ for over 50 years before retiring. During his retirement, he enjoyed woodworking, gardening and wine making. John’s greatest pride was his Italian heritage and his love of the Italian traditions, which included his involvement in Italian festivals. He was a faithful member of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church. John was active in the Catholic Charities, the Serra Club, and was the past president of the Holy Name Society.

John’s greatest pride was his family. He is survived by his three sons, John Delserro and his wife, Carol; Samuel Delserro and his wife, Michele; Gary Delserro and his wife, Melanie; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Also, his brother-in-law James Mich and pre deceased by his sister, Helynne (Boylan) Mich.

A calling hour will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM in St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Easton, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM in the church followed by interment at Northampton Memorial Shrine, Green Pond Road, Easton, PA. Arrangements are entrusted to Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.)
