Name: John Jacob Esham, 83, of Palmer Township, PA, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2014 at Easton Hospital. Born: John was born in West Philadelphia, PA, a son of the Alvin and Regina Anne (Meyer) Esham. Personal: John was married to the former Rosemary Butz, with whom he would have celebrated 43 years of marriage in November. He worked in the technology division of New Jerseys Office of the State Auditor, and he served in the Air Force, Merchant Marines, Marine Corps Reserve, and the NJ Army National Guard. John was an avid reader and a vivid storyteller who always had new, never-before-heard anecdotes at the ready. He enjoyed studying military history and gardening when he had the time. Survivors: In addition to his wife, John is survived by daughters Jennifer Rosengren of Petrolia, PA, and Meredith Esham and husband Roman Fahrmann of Bethesda, MD; sister Paula Esham Ahern of Laguna Niguel, CA; grandchildren Jonathan, Elizabeth, and Andrew Rosengren. He is preceded in death by sister Joan Esham and brother Andrew J. Esham. Services: Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
