John W. Ryan, 80, of Forks Twp., PA, passed away on Monday, March 8, 2021 in his home.

He was born in Shenandoah, PA, a son of the late Vincent and Jeanette (Lauretti) Ryan.

John was married to Joan M. Ryan. He was a graduate of Shenandoah Catholic School and McCann Business School. He served in the US Navy. John was a Bookkeeper for Strongwear Pants Co., for many years, and also owned J&J Appliance Store of Easton. He was a life-long lover of sports. John had a very big personality and was a very generous person; giving to many. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family and having a good meal.

John was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church.

In addition to his wife, John is survived by his daughters Dawn Arcury and husband David of Forks Twp., Lynn Pfeffer and husband John of Forks Twp.; a twin-sister Helene Barrett and husband Tom of Aldan; sisters Patricia Pekala and husband Jack of Hazelton; Sharon Wasilewski and husband Ron of Shenandoah, Mary Bayliff and husband Jim of Hazelton; a brother Vincent Ryan and wife Pat of Shenandoah; grandchildren Brittney Pfeffer, Breanne Pfeffer, Mike Ryan and wife Kasey, Nicholas Arcury; and a great-grandchild Gary William.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2021 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp), followed by a funeral service at 12:00 pm in the funeral home. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.
