John C. Scalzo, 83, of Williams Twp., PA, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 in Blough Health Care Center. Born: John was born in Easton, PA, a son of the late Joseph and Rose (Alfero) Scalzo. Personal: John was married to the former Connie Chiavetta before her passing in November 2009. He was a graduate of Easton High School, class of 1949. John served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He worked as a letter carrier for the US Postal service, before retiring in 1998. Memberships: John was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church. Survivors: John is survived by a daughter Lisa Ross and husband Jeffrey of Orefield, PA; a son Joseph Scalzo of Hawaii; a sister Josephine Cookie Thomas of Easton, PA; grandchildren Adrienne and Jacob Ross. In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by a brother Carl Scalzo; sisters Theresa Schooley, and Rose Marie Kauth. Services: A calling hour will be held on Saturday from 9:00 am to 10:00 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) followed by a Memorial Service at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Anthonys Cemetery, Williams Twp.
