John R. Schedler, 87, of Alexandria Manor in Bath, formerly of Easton, PA, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2020 in St. Luke's Hospice House.

John was born in Easton, PA, a son of the late Frederick and Louise (Volkert) Schedler.

John was a graduate of Easton High School, class of 1952. He was a factory worker for St. Regis Paper Mill, Nazareth; and later Keystone Food Products in Shipping and Receiving. He was an avid train enthusiast, and was active in Senior Citizen Centers of Easton and Bethlehem. John had a gift to talk to everyone and make them smile and feel dignified.

John was a former member of Sacred Heart Church of Bath, and a member of Incarnation of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church in Bethlehem. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge in Easton, Black Diamond Railroad Society, the Holy Name Society of Sacred Heart Church, Bethlehem Salvation Army Senior Group, and First SCSLA Organization.

John is survived by his sisters-in-law Hilda Schedler of Easton, Shirley Schedler of Fall River, MA; nieces Joan Brodt of Easton, Mary Sahady and husband Carl of Fall River, MA, Kathy Clark and husband David of Swansea, MA; a nephew Gregory Schedler of Easton; great-nephews Barry Brodt and wife Nicole, and Ryan Brodt and wife Gina; and a dear friend Anne Marie Petrilla. He is preceded in death by his brothers Joseph P. Schedler, Frederick Schedler, and James Schedler.

A viewing will be held on Monday from 9:00 am to 10:00 am in Incarnation of our Lord Roman Catholic Church, 617 Pierce Street, Bethlehem, PA 18015. A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday at 10:00 am in the church. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
