John A. Spaziani, 99, of Palmer Twp., PA passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026 at Country Meadows. Born on October 18, 1926 in Easton, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Rosaria (Ferreri) Spaziani.
After he graduated from Easton High School in 1944, he proudly served in the United States Navy. Upon his honorable discharge, he attended the University of Miami and earned his bachelor’s degree from Rider University. In 1953, he married the love of his life, Thelma (Schein) with whom he shared 70 years before her passing in 2023.
John was employed as a Territory Sales Manager for Firestone until his retirement. After retirement from Firestone, John obtained his real estate license and sold real estate for Century 21. John was an avid golfer and was also on the bowling team for the Order of Fleas. All year round, he was a Philadelphia sports fan whether it was the Eagles, Phillies, Flyers or Sixers. He enjoyed telling stories, swing dancing and dancing the polka. He also enjoyed big band music.
John is survived by his daughters, Jill Spaziani of Palmer Twp., Cheryl Buttaro of Pottstown; brothers, Dominick Spaziani of Easton and Henry Spaziani of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Joseph J. Cutrona, Jade Cutrona, and Rachel Buttaro.
In addition to his parents and wife, John was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Szabo, brother Anthony (Tony) Spaziani and son-in-law, David Buttaro.
A calling hour will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Entombment is private at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made in John’s name to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516. Online condolences may be offered at www.morellofuneralhome.com
