Name: John E. Tony, 98 of Easton passed away Saturday July 7, 2012 in Easton Hospital surrounded by his family. Born: He was born April 11, 1914 in Providence, RI a son of the late Anthony and Hameme Leicha Symia. Personal: John and his wife Mary (Simon) Tony celebrated 73 years of marriage together. He was employed as a laborer for the former Lehigh Foundry retiring in 1979. He also helped as a delivery driver for Raymond Baurkot and Sons Distributor for many years. John proudly served our country in the US Army during WWII. Memberships: John was a member of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church in Easton where he also was a member of the Holy Name Society. Survivors: In addition to his wife, John is survived by many nieces and nephews. A brother Joseph Symia and 2 nephews John Symia and Barry Kratzer preceded John in death. Services: A calling hour will be held on Monday from 9:30am until 10:30am in the church, 4th and Ferry Streets in Easton. A Divine Liturgy will be held on Monday at 11:00am in the church. Interment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Palmer Twp.
